Those are beautiful pics...Have you ever traveled to these areas? I've read about popular accounts in the 1800s about the mythical Belovode. Have you heard of it?
ОтветитьУдалитьI have never been to these areas.
ОтветитьУдалитьYes,I have. The myth about Belovod'je was very well-known especially during 17-19 centuries.
A lot of peasant families (most of them were old ritualists) moved in direction of Siberia-Altai mountains. Our famous Orientalist Nikolai Rerich even made a try to find this land in the beggining of 20 century. There was quite interesting tv programm dedicated to this theme the last year.We have a cycle of Tv programm (every Tuesday night)about the enigmas of russian history. It's a kind of documentary investigations & adventury elements.
Beautiful pictures, the land is so serene. I have a blog called "Hyperborea".
ОтветитьУдалитьYes, that's true.)) Because these areas are under-populated.
ОтветитьУдалитьThese mountains are the highest beyond the Arctic Circle. There is a ski center. The highest point of the Hibines-mount of Fersman is 1200 metres high.
